We have been following the progress of the dynamic Hoffmann Trial Team for a few years now. It was founded in 2002 by Lorenz Hoffman and is now the most internationally successful German team. The team, sponsored by Tribal Zine, counts among its members some of the best German Elite riders, such as Matthias Mhros, 2009 German 20" Champion and 2010 20” Vice-Champion, who performed excellently this year, finishing fifth in the European Championships and sixth in the World Championships, with good results in the World Cup (second in Saint-François Longchamp), Sebastian Hoffmann (2009 German 26” Champion, 2010 German 20” Champion, third in the 2020 German 26” Championships) and Thomas Mhros (2010 German 26” Vice-Champion, sixth in the European Championships and thirteenth in this year’s World Championships).
And of course, there’s Max Schrom, who, as well as being the leader of the team is also an avid competitor. Until recently Max had dedicated most of his time to his studies and the management of the team, but intends to make a comeback in the sections next year. Here he tells us about his remarkable year, during which he put on some of the biggest events in Germany for his sponsors. We’ll follow his 2011 season with great interest and look forward to seeing him at his best in the sections!

A great season is over. After I managed the trial-team-hoffmann in 2009 I began in 2010 to managing myself too. With my own website I tried to get the same success like we got with the team .c
Skins always pushed me with lots of Shows on the ISPO, Eurobike, Bike-festivals and many more. I don’t wanted to ride competitions this year because there was lot of work to do with marketing and not much money. To manage only the t-t-h with over 10 riders and many sponsors was near on a fulltime job. I could not train as I want to and so I ride the hole season not on a high level.
I never stop training – I did the roadtrip to Frank Chastel and the Coustellier brothers with some friends, got a part on the little limelight 4 DVD or I spend my holidays in benodet- where my carrier started about 18 years ago.
The potential of the trial-sport is so big. Many big companies believe in me after this season. TSG , WTB, Roeckl , Shock-Therapy , Hoffmannbikes and for sure Skins. A few other companies are still in process. I had to thank this companies and all the riders in the world who try to get this sport bigger – and for sure you guys with Tribal Zine! After the great success of the t-t-h and myself next year some things will change. It was a year to get back to the roots and to get the fun back into my training.
